About Us

Headstarters  is a non-denominational, registered, family child care learning centre that caters for infants 3months – 5 yrs.

Headstarters started in 1995 in Diego Martin and now has a compliment of nine (9) qualified staff members. Head Start has been successfully providing quality childcare services and successfully preparing children for primary education.

At Headstarters we believe that children can learn and enjoy Reading, Math and Phonics at an early age using our unique individual approach to learning, in a fun, loving and clean environment.

Our program is an admixture of Creative Learning, Montessori and Early Childhood Care Educational systems to achieve the holistic development of each child.

Our past students are succeeding in their academic and extra-curricular ventures. We are very proud of them all. Some are college students, dental students, topping their class in primary and secondary school, talented athletes, and have had many more amazing accomplishments.

 

Phillosophy

At Headstarters, we strongly feel that each child is special, with their own individual needs and interests. A nurturing environment that allows them to explore and develop is of prime importance as they mature. Each child’s unique talents and abilities must be recognized and respected so that they can realize their full potential. Research shows that the first 3 years of a child’s life are the most important in terms of social and intellectual development. Therefore Headstarters provides an environment geared toward maximizing potential in these areas. Our highly trained staff nurtures, educates and stimulates our students in a clean loving and fun environment through a wide range of programs resulting in increased social, educational skills and self-esteem, all of which will serve them well as they prepare for primary school and life.
